Siddharth Sinha specializes in the interplay of AI, climate, energy and digital public infrastructure (DPI). He previously worked at Google, where he set up a cross-company initiative aimed at accelerating AI × Climate solutions in the Global South. He also co-conceptualized an air quality management solution operational in 150+ cities across India and Brazil.
Prior to that, he worked at the G20 Secretariat where he served as the Adviser to India’s G20 sherpa during the Indian presidency, providing strategic support towards the emergence of the Green Development Pact and African Union’s inclusion into the G20.
Before G20, Siddharth worked with the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog), which is the Indian Government’s apex policy planning agency headed by the Prime Minister, as the Policy Specialist for Climate, Transport, Digital and Energy, and the Chief of Staff to the CEO.
During this time, he contributed to national climate policy matters including financing, transition pathways, clean mobility, circular economy, cleantech and DPI. Siddharth nationally coordinated two of India’s key decarbonization initiatives which, among others, resulted in the development of India’s first life cycle assessment model for transport emissions. He contributed to India’s COP26 strategy, the setting up of the country’s National EV Mission, and managed an initiative that led to the emergence of national-scale digital inclusion platforms, built in partnership with the private sector. Siddharth also served as India’s representative to OECD’s International Transport Forum.
Siddharth holds a B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), India, and a Master of Public Administration in International Development (MPA-ID) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK. He is a 2024 Climate Fellow at Yale University, and was a Chevening Science, Research and Innovation Fellow at the University of Oxford. He is currently Associate Vice President at Greenko, a
leading renewables and green molecules company.
